The Link G4X HC96X is the OBD2-era companion to the HC92X, built to replace the factory Honda ECU inside its original case on the factory loom, with a startup map preloaded. Compared with the OBD1 unit it adds a second CAN bus and a knock input on the factory header, and it uses the factory MAP sensor. Model-year coverage needs a quick check for this unit, so please confirm your car with us before ordering.

- Acura Integra LS, GS, GS-R and Type R, 2000-2001

- Honda Accord DX, LX and EX, 1998-2002 (four-cylinder)
- Manual transmission only
Before you order
- Manual transmission only.
- Link designs the HC96X for the 1996-1998 Honda B16 and B18 engines and all models that use the Honda OBD2A ECU, and lists the applications above. As Link asks, compare your factory ECU connector with the header photo before ordering.
- Compare your factory ECU plug with the header photo before ordering.
- The install manual pinout is for a four-cylinder engine, so V6 Accord and CL models are not covered.
- No onboard MAP sensor. The factory MAP sensor is used, or an external sensor can be wired through the expansion connector.
- Electronic throttle (drive-by-wire) control is not usable out of the box; Link says this unit needs a modification first.
- Honda igniters use reversed polarity: keep the ignition coil disconnected during installation until the ignition settings are confirmed.
- Configuration choice: Standard is the ECU as Link builds it. With E-Throttle Upgrade adds Link's factory modification (part 400-0100) so the ECU can drive an electronic throttle body. Link's HQ carries it out on a new ECU before it ships, which adds about 3 weeks. Link only modifies new ECUs, so an ECU you already own has to go through Link's tech support instead.
