The Link G4X RX7S7X is the plug-in ECU for the later FD3S Mazda RX-7, Series 7 and Series 8, with the 13B-REW. It fits the factory ECU case and loom, uses the factory MAP sensor, controls the metering oil pump and adds a second CAN bus over the Series 6 unit. Like the Series 6 version it runs naturally aspirated, parallel twin-turbo or single-turbo setups, not the factory sequential twins.

Fits

  • Mazda RX-7 FD3S Series 7 with the 13B-REW
  • Mazda RX-7 FD3S Series 8 with the 13B-REW
  • Manual transmission only

Before you order

  • Does not control the factory sequential twin turbos. Plan on a single-turbo, parallel twin-turbo or naturally aspirated setup.
  • Manual transmission only.
  • Series 7 and 8 only. Link dates the Series 6 to 1992-1995, which takes in the North American-market RX-7s; those cars need the RX7S6X (218-4000).
  • If you keep the factory metering oil pump, it must be set up correctly in the ECU so the engine is never short of oil.
  • No onboard MAP sensor. The factory 220 kPa MAP sensor is used, or an external sensor can be wired through the expansion connector.
  • Electronic throttle (drive-by-wire) control is not usable out of the box; check the requirements with us before planning a conversion.
  • Configuration choice: Standard is the ECU as Link builds it. With E-Throttle Upgrade adds Link's factory modification (part 400-0100) so the ECU can drive an electronic throttle body. Link's HQ carries it out on a new ECU before it ships, which adds about 3 weeks. Link only modifies new ECUs, so an ECU you already own has to go through Link's tech support instead.
