This bundle pairs the G4X XtremeX with Link's Terminated LS Engine Harness and the LS DBW Adapter Loom for a drive-by-wire (e-throttle) LS V8. It covers Gen 3 LS1/LS6 and Gen 4 LS2/LS3/LS7 engines, with a PCLink base map for each generation. It does not include a fuse and relay box, and Gen 4 engines need several extra parts, listed below.
In the bundle
- G4X XtremeX wire-in ECU (109-4000), 8 injection and 8 ignition drives, with its USB tuning cable, mounting bracket and quick start guide
- Link Terminated Engine Harness for GM LS Gen 3/4 (101-0300)
- LS DBW Adapter Loom (101-0304)
Highlights
- Fully programmable e-throttle control, with gear shift throttle blip and anti-lag capability
- Cruise control, traction control, launch control and full gear shift control
- Two independent CAN modules and 30 general-purpose tables (up from 20)
- Advanced closed-loop lambda strategy with dual bank lambda control
- Harness built with Link's AVSS automotive wire in standard Link colours, tested for pinout, shorts and insulation resistance before shipping
- EV1/JPT injector connectors that plug directly into common LS1 injectors
- Spare I/O on a Spares connector for extra sensors, switches or custom additions
- Sealed JPT terminals (TE Connectivity JPT family) in the chassis connector
Notes for Gen 4 engines
- A cam sensor harness extension is needed for the front-mounted Gen 4 cam sensor
- A small modification to the crank sensor connector is required; see the crank connector section of Link's installation manual
- Most Gen 4 engines need injector adapters to the USCar connector (Link 101-0287)
- Factory Gen 4 knock sensors need the LS Gen 4 Knock Adapter Loom (101-0306)
- A factory Gen 4 MAP sensor needs a Link MAP adapter loom (see 101-0308), or use a Link MAP sensor, which the harness supports directly
Need power management too? The fuse and relay box is a separate part, 101-0310.
Harness connectors
- Pedal connector (drive-by-wire pedal): 5V, sensor ground and two analog voltage inputs
- CAN2 connector for lambda modules, displays, keypads and other CAN devices
- MAP connector for Link MAP sensors (adapters available for factory LS MAP sensors)
- Knock connector for up to two knock sensors (adapters available for Gen 3 or Gen 4 factory sensors)
- Alternator connector for F Body alternators, with the exciter/lamp wire to terminal B
- Trans connector for a reverse switch, DI or other cabin signal
- IAC connector for a 4-wire stepper IAC; if no IAC is used, those channels can serve other functions such as a boost valve or nitrous
- TPS connector for cable-throttle sensors, which can be repurposed on drive-by-wire builds
- DBW connector for drive-by-wire throttle bodies (analog inputs, 5V, sensor ground), which can be repurposed on cable-throttle engines
