An extreme-duty, fast-response Type K thermocouple for exhaust gas temperature during tuning and hard use. The exposed junction reacts quickly, and the Inconel sheath, stainless overbraided cable and adjustable 316 stainless compression fitting are built for racing conditions.
Choosing a pack: buy a single probe, or a 4, 6 or 8 probe bundle for per-cylinder monitoring. The bundle sizes line up with the channel counts of Link's TCC04, TCC06 and TCC08 EGT to CAN modules.
Highlights
- Type K, -100 to 1300 °C, accuracy ±0.4% of reading or about ±1.1 °C
- Exposed, ungrounded junction with 150 ms response time
- 6.35 mm (1/4 in) Inconel sheathed probe
- 1.8 m stainless steel overbraided cable
- Adjustable 316 stainless compression fitting with 1/8-27 NPT male thread
- Supports individual cylinder fuel trim and EGT-based engine protection
Specifications
- Thermocouple: Type K
- Range: -100 to 1300 °C (-148 to 2372 °F)
- Accuracy: ±0.4% of reading or about ±1.1 °C (special limits of error)
- Response time: 150 ms (time to reach 63.2% of a step change)
- Probe diameter: 6.35 mm (1/4 in)
- Sheath: Inconel, melting point 1400 °C
- Cable: 1.8 m (6 ft), stainless overbraid over Teflon-insulated 20 gauge stranded wire
- Fitting: adjustable 316 stainless compression fitting, 1/8-27 NPT male
- Wiring: yellow positive (+), red negative (-)
- Compatibility: Link G4+ Thunder (two dedicated EGT inputs); other Link ECUs through a thermocouple amplifier such as Link's CAN EGT modules; other aftermarket ECUs that accept Type K thermocouples
- Single probe includes: probe, K-type thermocouple connector that suits Link's CAN EGT modules, printed instructions
Note: A Link ECU without a suitable onboard thermocouple input needs a thermocouple amplifier. Observe polarity when wiring: yellow is positive, red is negative.
