A non-contact Hall effect gear tooth sensor for crank, cam and wheel speed signals. Adaptive dynamic thresholds compensate for changes in target shape and air gap, so it reads reliably from near zero speed up to 15 kHz.
Highlights
- Crank, cam or wheel speed sensing on ferrous trigger wheels and gear teeth
- Adaptive dynamic threshold with near-zero speed sensing
- Open collector output: needs a pull-up resistor unless the ECU has one built in
- IP67 anodised aluminium housing with a 1 m flying lead
- DTM3 connector kit included, both halves
- Works with all Link ECUs and other aftermarket ECUs
Specifications
- Output: open collector (current sinking)
- Maximum tooth frequency: 15 kHz
- Typical air gap: 1.5 mm
- Supply: 5-24 V (30 V max), 6 mA
- Operating temperature: -40 to +125 °C
- Lead: 1 m, 20 AWG (0.5 mm²)
- Wiring: brown supply, blue sensor ground, black signal to ECU
- Weight: 50 g
- In the box: sensor, DTM3 connector kit (male and female), printed instructions
Note: Use shielded cable to avoid interference, and keep to the recommended target dimensions and air gap.
